In Complete Flakery

There really ought to be a rehab facility for flakes, with twelve-step meetings where we could each stand up and say, “I’m [name] and I am a complete flake.” Everyone could say, “Hi, [name]!” Afterwards, we could all enjoy coffee and donuts.

I’d start a group like that myself — and what the heck, rewrite the Big Book just for us, because I always Think Big — except I can’t keep it together enough to write a blog post a day. Organizing a group? Holding regular meetings? Not my thang, sorry.

I haven’t been taking care of myself, and today was a bad day healthwise, so I was a bit discouraged. Getting things done was NOT on my to-do list. Getting through the day was the best I could do.

I could definitely use a little flake rehab right now.

I’m not giving up, just regrouping. Realizing that a big part of doing better involves taking care of my health. In fact, it’s the biggest part because without my health I can’t get ANYTHING done.

So, it’s back to square one: eating right, exercise, rest.

How’s your health? How are you taking care of yourself? Tell me all about it in the comments.

Why are you trying to write a blog post a day? I'm chronically ill and I usually only manage one a week but I'm trying to get back up to two at the moment.

    Hi Kirsty,

I'm just trying to build up the content here so the site will have some 'meat' to it in a relatively short time. Plus, I committed to it over at http://beawesomeonline.com . I'm trying to stop being such a flake. 🙂 I should add that the commitment is only for 30 days. Then, I'll probably slack off a bit, two or three a week.

That makes sense, LaVonne, I wrote a lot more when I was starting my blog than I do now.

My health is generally good, except that I need bi-lateral knee replacement, bi-lateral shoulder surgeries, just got diagnosed with fibromyalgia, have multiple allergies, asthma and lymphedema.
How about you? What made today a bad one for you?
    PS Thanks for the follow!

Wow, lots of fun for you! Interesting that you would say your health is generally good, and then you list all these problems. I share a couple of them with you: fibromyalgia and multiple allergies. I also have frequent migraines, triggered by fragrances, which is a real pain in the — erm, head. Lately, it's the fibro has been causing most of my problems, but I find that if I eat right [gluten free], I have a lot less pain.

So glad to see you here, Trece. Thanks for commenting!
