In Make Customers Love You

Let’s take another jaunt down memory lane, shall we? But this time, we’re only going back a few months – to the the first Customer Love challenge. Remember?

Okay, maybe you don’t.

Maybe this is your first visit to Make Customers Love You, and you’re wondering what this is all about. Sorry I haven’t written the About page yet – working on that. Meanwhile, here’s the post that started it all.

But if you did take part in the first challenge in September 2010, you remember how much fun we all had – and how frantic it was near the end when many of us realized, “Shit, I forgot to make a product to launch at the end!”

Yeah, that was kind of crazy, but in a funny way. We were all wiped out by the end, catching our breath and thinking about how we’d do it differently next time.

Meanwhile, my co-host for that first challenge, David Crandall, didn’t have time to catch his breath. He was burning the midnight oil every night for three weeks, designing and creating the amazing Customer Love ebook so we could make a gift of it to you. (If you haven’t downloaded it yet, go ahead.)

Note that you didn’t have to give me your email address. There’s a reason for that: after David and I released it – as an opt-in ‘cookie’ to grow our mailing lists – we came across a blog post that criticized us, in a respectful way, for requiring your email address in return for our ‘gift.’

Good point: that’s not exactly a gift, is it?

We changed our minds and decided to give the ebook to anyone who wants to download it – no email required.

The blogger in question turned out to be Jonathan Wondrusch (@bybloggers), a product creation expert who’s one of the smartest young men I’ve ever met. (He gets embarrassed when I say that, which makes me want to say it again: Jonathan is fucking SMART. Also nice. And incredibly young, but that’s beside the point.) I was so impressed with him after a short Skype conversation that I asked him to co-host the February Customer Love challenge with me. It wasn’t long before we decided to create the Customer Love Machine e-course together.

And today, Jonathan and I will give away the goods.

Well, at least a short version of the course – in a free webinar. (You’ve signed up for it, right?)

Why am I telling you all this when I already told you last week? Because I forgot. That’s the truth. It started sounding awfully familiar so I did a search and yep, I’m repeating myself again. That’s what happens when you get old, in case you didn’t know.

Now I’m just getting silly.

The point was that I wanted to tell you how amazing Jonathan is. When I say he’s a product creation expert, here’s what I’m talking about: a truly epic ebook called Epic E-Book Creation that’s – you guessed it – free for downloading, no opt-in required. (What’s WITH this guy?)

That’s just one reason why I’m so excited that Jonathan is teaching the guts of our Customer Love Machine course in today’s free webinar.

There’s lots more to the course (like I-can’t-even-remember-how-many awesome interviews and bonuses, coaching, weekly webinars and a forum for support and feedback) but we want to make sure that even if you don’t buy the course, you’ll have everything you need to create your first info-product for the end of the challenge.

I’m just sayin’: Go. Sign up for the 90-minute webinar already. It’s happening today at 12p PT/3p ET/8p GMT. And for you Australians and others who might be too sleepy or busy for the live event, there will be a recording!
