You know how you’re always struggling to make yourself get things done in your business [and maybe elsewhere too] — and you do your best to push through the resistance — but no matter what you do, it’s always an uphill battle?
Yeah, I know.
It sucks. And it’s lonely. And you start hating yourself for being such a flake. Everybody else seems to be producing amazing content without half-trying. You wonder if you’re really cut out to be in business for yourself after all. Maybe you should just forget about it.
NOOOOOO!!!! The little voice in your head is screaming right now, because you seriously don’t want to do that.
Well, I just may have stumbled onto the solution.
If you read my blog — or noticed the name of it — you know that I’ve had a serious problem with getting things done. I used to joke that I was a world-class procrastinator, but it wasn’t funny any more. I wanted a real business [with real revenue] and I could not make myself take the next step: create something to sell. I was really stuck.
And then I got unstuck.
It started with the Customer Love Challenge. Suddenly, I was meeting lots of nice people who were excited about the challenge and going off and doing their own things — but coming back and reporting on what they were doing. It was inspiring. And I felt responsible. Now people were expecting something from me.
I also had David Crandall’s [HeroicDestiny.com] help in managing the challenge, brainstorming ideas, and taking the load off when it came to daily blog posts. His encouragement was invaluable too.
Finally, during the last few days of the challenge, Laura at CottageCopy.com set up a “study buddy” group on Skype, where we could work on our own projects but touch base with each other every 90 minutes or so. In the first session alone, I wrote a couple of blog posts, knocked several items off my to-do list, and wrote a presentation for the voice coaching webinar I had scheduled.
That’s more productivity in a few hours than I’ve experienced in years.
And it hasn’t stopped. I still struggle to get started, but I do start — and finish what I start. There is no longer a cloud of fear hanging over my head whenever I think about what to write. I’m starting to trust that something good will come.
I want you to experience that feeling too. If you work best when you’re accountable to someone, come join…
The Stuckbuster Sessions
Here’s what you get:
- I’ll host four-hour productivity session every week on Skype.
- We’ll check in for 5-10 minutes, talk about what we plan to do this session, and then go work on our projects.
- I will be available by chat for anyone who has questions or needs help.
- Every hour or so, we all take a break and check in to talk about our progress [or lack thereof].
- I encourage and help you get unstuck.
- We all help and encourage each other during the breaks, and on Twitter at the #stuckbusters hashtag.
Simple, fun, and best of all — productive.
For me, it’s all about having virtual company while I work, but if you’re having trouble working through a block, we’ll talk about it and help you find solutions.
The cost is $30 per month. You’ll most likely make much more than that back very quickly with all the work you’ll be producing during our sessions.
If you just want to try a Stuckbuster Session without committing to a whole month — or maybe you have one project you’re stuck on and you need a jumpstart — you can buy single sessions for $15.
I have sessions set for 12-4pm Pacific Time [check your time zone here], Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. I’m flexible about this, so let me know if those times don’t work for you.
So join me in kicking the ASS of being stuck!

I want to keep the group small, no more than six people, but if more than that sign up, I’ll schedule a second and even a third weekly session if necessary. Which means only eighteen people will be able to take part, total. I may schedule one session to accommodate non-U.S. time zones, depending on whether any Aussies or Brits sign up [and please do — I want to luxuriate in your lovely accents.]
Hurry up and jump in so we can get started!

LaVonne! Such a wonderful idea! I can’t make it because I have lots of out-of-the-house stuff happening on Saturdays, but this is just what I need.
Don’t worry, I have a session on Fridays too — 9am-1pm, starting tomorrow.
I’ll be in Vegas for BlogWorld next week, but I can do it from there by
phone instead of Skype, lol.
If that doesn’t work for you, we can work something out. 🙂
