Are you writing your letters and making your calls to Congress about Trump, treason, separated immigrant families, and all the other critical issues America is facing these days?
If you aren’t, know that you are not alone
It’s hard to figure out where to start and how to be most effective. And if you did start strong, it’s tough to keep it up in the face of the daily onslaught of bad news.
Activism is hard, unrelenting work. You don’t succeed on the first try, or the tenth, or even the hundredth. You have to keep at it, even though the odds against you are overwhelming — and they always are or your activism wouldn’t be needed.
It’s needed now
I recently started a group, called #WriteDammit, for people who want to develop a daily writing practice. We hold hour-long sessions on Zoom twice each weekday.
Now, I would like to invite you to spend an hour or two with us whenever you can, writing and calling your representatives or writing letters to the editor, Op-Ed pieces and articles.
Resisting fascism isn’t only about marches and protests. You can make a big difference by using your words, telling your stories, and insisting on change.
We do this work together, encouraging and supporting each other, one hour at a time.
Join the resistance on Zoom each weekday at 9am and/or 2pm Pacific time
Sign up below to join and get a brief email each day with suggestions for action. (It’s free, btw.)
