In Make Customers Love You

Greetings!

In the course of one of the stranger mornings I’ve had in a while, I suddenly came up with my guest post for CustomerLove, after much curiosity and occasional freak-outs about how the time was drawing ever nearer and my idea wasn’t.

I find it interesting how the subjects I think of originally end up not being the ones I go with, or at the least, they go through several incarnations before hitting the pixelated page.

So it was this time.

I was bandying thoughts about various posts, but nothing was really hitting that sweet spot. That place that says, “Yeah. I’m your post. Write me. Write me NOW!” (Insert appropriate sound effects here. :-D)

And then Tuesday night, I went to Nicola’s Books here in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to hear Jim C. Hines, Sarah Zettel, and Jacqueline Carey speak.

Among the other interesting and quite surprising things that came out of that evening, was the realization of what I needed to write about.

The power of Stubborn.

Not just any old Stubborn, mind you, but a very specific one.

The Stubborn that lets you believe in someone when maybe their own faith is running a little low.

The Stubborn that lets you hold that space for them until they remember their Awesome.

And then love them all the more.

I realized that’s one of the many things we are blessed with here in the CustomerLove community.

And as we come to the end of another challenge, I just wanted you to remember that.

  • I believe in you.
  • We all believe in you.

Keep the CustomerLove fires burning, hear?

And keep on keeping the space for one another.

How do you hold the space for one another?

Come tell me in the comments.

Or better yet, make it obvious in the World. :>

Until next time,
-Birdy :>

I love, love, LOVE, that despite all the ‘argh! I don’t have anything to write about!’ panic, you manage to come out showing your true, stubborn colours Birdy. And you’ve just shown me how we keep holding space for one another long after the challenge ends … by being ourselves and allowing our true loving colours to shine through. Adored this!
