In Complete Flakery

A new friend asked me recently why I wasn’t leveraging my 22 years of radio experience on the Web, and then kindly brainstormed half a dozen suggestions to get me started.

That’s what I call a friend.

I’ve been agonizing over what to offer you at The Complete Flake. I’m no expert at getting things done, that’s for sure, so all I can do is write about my efforts to improve in that area myself. It’s a subject that may make for a good personal blog, but there’s no easy way to monetize it. And I gotta be honest, I need to make money.

So, when in doubt, switch to something else. That’s what a good flake does and I am, if nothing else, a good flake. The nice thing is, now I can relax here and just be myself — a flake. Which is a HUGE relief, because I was starting to envision myself having to make over my whole life in public. Yikes.

I’ll still be talking about getting things done here and will still keep TRYING to improve, but I’m not going to stress about it anymore. I’m going to have fun with it, which was the whole point to start with.

One thing I plan to do is start a resources section of this site, where I will share links to good tools and other resources that may be helpful to you. I really want to make this a useful site, not just a personal blog.

And the great thing about having two things going at once is that when I run out of steam on one, I can always switch to the other. Because that’s what good flakes do.

Oh yes, and that other site? I’m really excited about it and will let you know when it’s ready.

Methinks there's some re-invention going on here. Kewl!! Are you becoming a croissant, where you used to be puff pastry? In any case, good luck! I look forward to the “new you”.

Ooh, that sounds good: a croissant! That's what I want to be. And eat.
Wait, that sounds creepy. But I think I'm going out to get a croissant
    RIGHT NOW.
