In Complete Flakery

Yikes, I don’t think I have. What kind of blogger am I, anyway?! Totally self-centered! Well, here’s a big MWAH to all of you for being so caring and helpful. As numerous 60s teen movie characters would put it: You guys are the BEST.

Now that I have calmed down a bit from the Big Car Disaster of ’10, and pieced together various loans from friends/family, and learned that the trouble probably isn’t a multi-thousand-dollar thrown rod after all, my blood pressure has gone down and I can breathe again.

Then I read this post by the brilliant Naomi Dunford, and realized that I haven’t done my homework. Frantically running around asking everyone I know to buy my voice coaching product may produce a few sales but a] not enough, and b] there’s a better way.

It will take a little longer, that’s all.

A month or so, to be inexact. I’m going to follow Naomi’s advice, point by point, for 28 days and see what happens. I still need to put the voice coaching product together, of course, but there’s so much more I need to do:

Spend the first 28 days being totally, ridiculously awesome. Plan to make 100% of your money on the 29th day.

It means that I will stop whining about my resistance/procrastination/laziness [you’re welcome!] and focus on GIVING instead of GETTING. By the time that 28 days is over, not only will I be in a better position to make more money to pay back those loans, but I’ll have a better product.

And then? Once voice coaching is well and truly launched?

We’re going to focus on all the flaky goodness we can find. Because it’s time I gave something back to YOU.
