In Make Customers Love You

This is going to be my first (real) Customer Love Challenge.

I signed up for the very first one and then totally flaked out on it. ‘Doh!

But… This time will be different. (do those sound like ‘famous last words’??? Sounded rather ominous in my head as I typed them out…) Just because I didn’t do everything I wanted to last time doesn’t mean I have to repeat that same scenario again.

This time I’ll do it right (whatever right is). Customer Love is so fluid that I can choose what I want to make of it… and I’ll choose what’s right for my customers, my business, and me.

I think, this time, I’ll just work on being out there every day & letting my customers know how kick-ass they are (because they totally are). I just tend to assume that my customers know that I love them, but you know what assuming does… so do I.

This time I know what it is that I’m here for and what I stand for (this also means that I know what I can best offer to those kick-ass customers). I can relax and have fun with it. I can be playful & enjoy the process.

I’m more comfortable this time with everyone involved (meaning I don’t feel like such a chicken-shit). I wouldn’t say that I was a chicken-shit because really… this is big stuff we’re doing. I am, however, tired of feeling like one. This time I don’t even feel that way.

This time I’m totally ready to be in action (even if it’s only a tiny action every day). There’s got to be some action that can be taken on a daily basis that will be helpful for someone else and/or move the business forward. I can do one small thing daily.

This time there’s more on the line (the days of playing at being in business are over for me). It’s so much fun to talk about being in business for myself. It’s fun to create all the systems and structures, and dream about how it’ll all come together. It’s a whole other ball-game when these things are real. It’s all different when my family is relying on me to buy groceries and I’m no longer getting a steady paycheck. Yeah, play time is over, folks.

So how does all of this translate for you?

Have you been involved with Customer Love before?

If so, here’s your call to action:

Consider what you’d like to be different this time. Consider the way it went the last time and how you’d like to change it… and then expand that to play with the different results that could come.

If this is your first Customer Love challenge, you can still consider what you’ve done in the past with your business and your customers, & how you can change what’s gone before to better serve all involved.

That’s it. Take your mask off and give it a shot.
