Announcement #1
Exciting news! My favorite person on the planet (other than my kids and a few dead people) has agreed to co-host the July #customerlove challenge!
Colin Beveridge is not only a brilliant math tutor, ex-rocket scientist (and a frigging PhD, fer cryin’ out loud) – he’s also a folksinger and the funniest guy I know. Oh yes, and he’s been with CustomerLove since the beginning. And he pretty much ghost writes most of the tweetchat questions. What’s not to love?
Announcement #2
Swag! We’re gonna have swag for sale! T-shirts, mugs, mousepads, you name it. Deets coming soon. 🙂
Announcement #3
Tomorrow’s Skype call is cancelled for the U.S. holiday weekend, but we’ll be back better than ever next week!
Announcement #4
We’re having a contest!
- First prize: A copy of the CustomerLove Cookbook plus audio version.
- Second prize: A private voice confidence session with me.
- 6 third prizes: Gary Vaynerchuck’s best seller, The Thank You Economy.
All you have to do to enter is tell us in the comments below how you plan on loving your customers for the July CustomerLove challenge. Have fun with it – write it like a Harlequin romance novel, or a romantic comedy movie script, or a sit-com – use your imagination!
The best entry wins the first prize, and so on. Winners will be announced on Monday, July 18th.
So tell me, what’s your challenge?
I’m very excited to be part of it!
I’m excited too! I love that we’re having so much fun planning surprises!
Contests! How fun is this?? OK here we go Harlequin style. Heaving bosom…rippling muscles… torn bodice… That isn’t working. Hmm… If I do a rom-com I can cast Jennifer Aniston as me and Vince Vaughn as my clients and …. Wait. My clients are a lot smarter and savvier than the average Vince Vaughn character. What about Adam Sandler? I would totally work with the lunch lady. OK, try again. If I do a sitcom and go with the fat husband/hot wife theme… that’s no good for anybody. I can do an ensemble cast with ditzy girl, slutty guy, the neurotic one … No, my clients are far more awesome than that. *sigh* My plan for the July challenge (and beyond) is to stick to an editorial schedule, bump up my guest posting and do more targeted offline networking. I’m working on a series on pricing and a monthly Tactics Tuesday with technical how-to resources. Â I’m super-excited to be more visible, better connected and more myself.Â
Lol, great try, Deanna!

You and Colin together? – now that’s going to be fun! Â
I’m going to offer tons of my Sales Confidence Coaching sessions!Â
I have another idea brewing – a fun contest I think – but don’t have the details worked out.Â
More to come!Â
Exactly – and great entry for the contest, Phyllis!

I’m going to really put myself out there for the challenge. Â I’ve got plans, and I’ve also got a plan to see what evolves. Â I’ll be giving away 28 hours of coaching, launching an e-book, kicking off a series of guest posts, offering a free teleclass and launching a new teleseminar program. Â Getting serious about Facebook and Twitter. OMG that sounds like a lot. Â Better get to work!
That does sound like a lot. I’m impressed with your ambition but don’t get
mad at yourself if something’s gotta give. You’ll still have lots to be
proud of by the end of the challenge!
I’m going to give it all I’ve got and when I run out of time, energy or inspiration, I’ll take a break, sit in the sun and feel proud that if nothing else, I’ve created some momentum!
What a beautiful, inspiring picture, thank you!

I love this, a contest! I like entering my friends contests ^_^
I didn’t initially think I would really be participating in the first challenge since I’ve been participating in the tweetchats and skype calls, but I actually kind of am with what I have going on.
I’m jumping off the diving board and falling (I hope) gracefully into a pool of honesty and openness. I just opened a brand new website, very first post was today! (http://www.emilyrose.co) This site will have a few purposes, to connect on a personal level with my fans and customers, to share my experiences and those of other artists and creative entrepreneurs and struggles and successes, to share the work-in-progress part of my art, the story, etc. Sharing life lessons and things I have learned about life, being an artist, doing it all with disabilities, and hopefully by sharing my experiences I can help others thru their tough times and help inspire them to keep moving forward.
I love your new site, Emily. 🙂 And I’m so glad you’ll be joining the challenge… get ready to have fun!
Thank you LaVonne – I just put words to the focus of my site, and updated the header accordingly: “encouragement, support & advice for creativepreneurs battling (dis)abilities”
::breathing deeply:: I’m going to learn how to speak my people’s language and shine a light that they love! I’m narrowing down my niche and am ready to rock it! I plan to up my presence on Twitter and Facebook, put some give-aways together, and offer up a contest or something to spark some interest and generally attention whore.
