Sometimes you need to hit the reset button and start again.
My JV partner, Jonathan Wondrusch, and I were going to hold a CustomerLove Machine webinar tomorrow as part of the course relaunch, but something didn’t feel quite right.
Now, I come from the “show must go on” school, where you muscle through the problems no matter what, and somehow it all comes together. I tend to blame myself when there are problems. I think everyone else is doing fine, and I should keep my mouth shut and pretend I’m fine too. But I wasn’t.
Good thing a wiser head prevailed this time.
Jonathan brought up the elephant in the room: we were both struggling to make ourselves focus, and that was bound to affect the quality of our product. Jonathan, bless his heart, did not find that acceptable. And neither do I.
We love you too much to put out anything less than our best.
So we are hitting the reset button on the CustomerLove Machine. Instead of launching it tomorrow, we are going to spend the next three months fine tuning every detail, so we can bring the Machine back, better than ever, in August.
Phew! That means I’ll be able to give my full attention to improving CustomerLove over the next few weeks too.
Good things are coming. Can’t wait.
Love you,
p.s. If you’ve entered the contest to win a premium CLM membership, don’t worry! Your entry is in, and will be considered in August.
p.p.s. The next challenge has been postponed from June to either July or September. I’ll let you know soon!
Gutsy move.
Wishing you all the best, and staying tuned.
Bolaji.
Good for you LaVonne!! I too was steeped in the “show must go on” ethos — and am learning that stepping back is often a very wise choice. Yay YOU!! I just know good things will come of this.
I’m so glad you’re doing this, because, wow…. you guys deserve a serious break! 🙂
Take a couple days off! We’ll all be here when you get back 🙂
I totally get that! Good for you both for acknowledging that and going with your gut.
