If you follow me on Facebook, you probably know that I took a 900+ mile detour last week, driving from Arizona to Texas to help out my cousin, who just had back surgery. I stopped posting about it, because well, it’s her life not mine, and it’s private. (She’s doing better every day, btw.)
But I’ve been a bit flummoxed about what to share with you instead. Then I started listening to the symphony of bird calls in the beautiful, lacy mesquite trees that forest this place, and I thought I might share the natural beauty I am finding here.
So here is what I call Grape Creek Symphony:

I just use the voice recorder on my iPod, Linda. You probably have one on your phone. Uploading it to a blog or Facebook is a little trickier, depending on what gadgets and apps you have.
Wonderful soundtrack.
Hope you are healthy and doing well.
Best wishes for your cousin’s rapid recovery.
Look forward to seeing you again.
Take care, be safe.
Thanks, Jay — where are you guys now?
