In Thoughts

Things are looking up! As I speak, Calvin the Mechanic and his brother Everett are tearing LaVanne’s innards apart to find out if they can fix her without replacing her engine. Cross your fingers on that one, but I feel I am in good hands.

Meanwhile, I have been exploring the surprising new neighborhood where I’ve landed near Albuquerque’s historic Old Town. After the depressing area I was stuck in since Monday, this is literally a breath of fresh air. What luck!

I’m really sorry to hear about LaVanne! I, too, have been having interesting vehicle issues… my dead-in-the-water location was not nearly as picturesque as that part of Albuquerque where you are curently, though. I’m happy you’re getting some help and I hope it’s not as bad as originally thought to be. It’s nice when the damage is less than we anticipate. Keep your chin up!

Oh no, Lois! I hope you’re back on the road again. Yes, the news was good, and the engine is ok. I should be ready to travel in a few days. 🙂

Of the several times I’ve been in ABQ, I’d never bothered to check out Old Town. Looks nice. Maybe next time.

    Go with the flow.

This is near Old Town but not actually in it, Al. Do check it out, though. The neighborhood is delightful, almost makes me want to settle down, lol.
