The newly renovated Customerlove Diner is open for business – a little early (I was planning to unveil it when we launch the next Customerlove Machine course, but it was too adorable to wait) – thanks to the beautimous talents of Rachael Acklin (design) and Willie Hewes (cute little waitress mascot – yes, she’s supposed to be me.)
What does all this mean, aside from the sheer fun of it?
Nothing in particular. I just wanted an honest-to-goodness professional design. I liked the old one (thanks to Chris Anthony for the logo and Rachael for the color tweaks) but I thought it was time to go full-out.
However, I have noticed that when people get kick-ass new web designs they start to, well, kick ass. So watch out!

Thanks! I was a waitress for years, actually, and really enjoyed putting delicious food in front of my customers. So this is a real treat – plus: my feet don’t hurt!

Thanks, Vas! My mom’s diner was at 27th and Washington, before the freeway went through and tore up the whole neighborhood. It was a different kind of diner, not shiny and retro like this design, but a real, working class diner where factory workers and truck drivers came for breakfast, lunch, and after the bars closed.
I thought I hated every minute of it back then, but I miss it terribly now.
Gimme two eggs over easy and keep the coffee coming 😀

Funny how breakfast is everyone’s favorite meal of the day, yet so many of us don’t eat it. Too bad what’s considered a really good breakfast is totally unhealthy. At least we don’t have to worry about clogged arteries with a virtual breakfast. 🙂
